Sal served 12 years in the USAF flying the KC-97 based out of Plattsburgh N.Y. Upon release from the Air Force, he worked for Eastern Air Lines Flying all the types of aircraft Eastern flew. The last 12 years of his 27 years with Eastern he flew Captain on the B-727.
It took him 2 years to completely re-build his Taylorcraft.
